09.07.2012 - Finally summer

A summer with several lovely beardiepuppies to enjoy!

I've been visiting the kennels Artic Wool and Bound-to-Bounce to meet and greet their lovely litters and hopes for the future.

And of course kennel Mollycoddle to see their Mac-babies! Maybe there I'll find MY new hope for the future...

05.04.2012 - Happy Easter, everyone!

Staying at home for the Easter holiday, having our very good old friend Birk as a visitor. Probably the oldest Taildown'er still alive.. Taildown's Big Business, born in February 2000.

New pictures of the very cute Mobypups from Falkstolhågen kennels homepage - please visit them. One one male and one female is still awailable.

There are also lovely Mobypups available (males only) at kennel Honeytaste.

Hope all the babies soon find loving homes. I'm really looking forward seeing them in the showring soon!

Most winning beardiemale: Mac!

And recently the Norw. Kennel Club announced the most winning dogs at international champ.shows for most breeds. The beardiewinner: Moby!

A great showyear for our two lovely beardie boys!

More puppynews! Another big litter of Mobypuppies were born at kennel Honeytaste yesterday!

As always from Moby - only black/white ones, 4 males and 5 females.

Fun fact - it is ca 1600 kilometers between those two Mobylitters - about the same as from London to Rome, Italy.

So the chance of them having a playdate is rather slim...

Happy New Year everybody!

We recieved the best of news from far north in Norway yesterday:

"Flingan" (Nordic Ch Svassas Born Sweet - see picture) gave birth to 8 beautiful Moby-puppies!

5 lovely males and 3 gorgeous females are ready for action very soon!

Wishing them the very best for the future - let's hope some of them decide to move further south...

To read more about them I'm sure you soon will find more info here: Falkstolhågens.

The year is coming to it's end. The winter is not really here yet, but at least its cold and the dogs are keeping rather clean when they are out playing.

In the personal life it's been a dreadful year, so sad, so full of worrying, so hard to get through the days. And facing Christmas is tough, really tough.

In the doggy part of life it's been a good year in the way of showing, not so good at the "puppyfront" but first and foremost the dogs have been healthy and happy all year.

But I'm sure 2012 will be the best year ever - in every way! And I thoroughly mean it when I say:

Merry Christmas

&

Happy New Year!

to all friends or foes out there...

Many shows since last update - some fun, some just a waste of time (and money!). But all in all, I'm very, very pleased with the dogs year so far. Over 20 BOB-rosettes, some groups and veteran - and lots of pointless prizes/gifts from different dogclubs, not to mention all friendly and nice people I've met..

Not much left of the year, but I really hope for a couple more very interresting events to be published.

Just two weeks untill the BIG Norwegian Winnershow 2011. Hope to see lots and lots of beautiful dogs there and maybe do some real shopping..

Mac got the approval from FCI of his international championtitle. I was most impressed that it was just 3 months since he won the last qualifying Cacib..

Moxy won the juniorclass at NKK-show in Oslo this weekend - making her qualified for CRUFTS 2012. Quite fun, acctually...

One dark weekend in Norway is coming to its end....

Terrorist bombing in Oslo with at least 8 casualties devastated the Norwegian capitol on Friday at 3.30 pm. We thought that this was the worst happening ever in Norwegian history after WW II.

A couple of hours later when started getting info about some people starting to shoot people at a youth camp about an hour drivefrom Oslo. Now two days later we know that the horrific death toll was 68 kids and youth (total no. not ready untill later in the following week).

It seems like it is the same madman that is responsible for both, and the whole Norway has been in shock ever since. He was apprehended without any drama (he was out of bullets anyway), and is now in custody...

All our thoughts must go to all the people directly touched by this grueful event. A black day in Norways history, and it will never be forgotten.

Saturday evening in Oslo city center

My summer holiday from work is over - spending the first weekend of it in Paris at the World Dog Show.

The second weekend we were at two shows on the west coast of Sweden (Tvååker).

Moxy doing well on both weekends - even winning the swedish CC on the last show!

And I'm very proud of the Mac's gorgeous "puppies" from kennel Typografen who did so well in Sweden.

Mac trying to keep up!

Ascension Day - but for me just a nice day off from work. Doing a little work in the garden, washing the blankets and clothes that got dirty and wet last weekend..

Trondheim Hundefestival (2 national shows, 500 km from here) last weekend was great fun. First weekend out with the caravan this year. Went there alone, but got company at the showground, and for the drive home.

Moby was beautiful as always - 2. Best In Show veteran both Saturday and Sunday.

Moxy was just being her cute self - CC and BOB on Saturday, res.CC and 2. best bitch on Sunday.

Norway's Constitution Day (National Day)!

I've never been celebrating that too much, and not planning to go downtown to do so this year either. But the picture shows the Children's parade, most wearing national custumes, bringing along norwegian flags and marching through the city center and passing by the Norwegian castle (center of the picture) waiving to the royal family standing on the balcony - as they do every year.

Basically all schools in Oslo are represented, and many of them also with their own marching band..

A quiet day at home - planning the first caravantrip in just two weeks time instead. Maybe groom a beardie or something...

Moxy's BIRTHDAY!! Wow - time flies when we are having fun!

She is for a fact the most funloving happy and charming little thing - can't say enough positive things about getting to know her this past 10 months.

Looking forward to see what the future brings with these snoring and farting little beings around..

Showresults this weekend that I'm really, really happy for. Groupwinner with little Elmer boy! BOB and BOS are Taildown's - and siblings as well - great fun!

Moxy winning the res. CAC and Penny the CAC... Couldn't ask for more, really

Visited Jorunn & Jan (Artic Wool beardies) to take a closer look at Moby's grandchildren. They had a lovely beardielitter, 4 weeks old. Beautiful puppies, all slates - and just in that supercuddly age as well. Great fun!

Monicas funeral was yesterday - and even as sad occation that was, meeting good friends and family made it all a warm and good farewell to Monica.

Thank you to all for thoughts, cards, flowers and support in this time.

Now it's the first day in the rest of our lives!

Monica wouldn't have wanted us to stop what we are doing - so it's just to shift focus to all the positive things, trips and shows that are coming up soon.

See you soon!

This has been the worst week in my life due to my beloved mum died the 20th. Very little activity for the dogs and/or for the breedclub.

But I hope we'll soon be back in the loop - A different team, but hopefully just as strong.

Trying to update some of the dogs own pages, our history and shows 2011. ("Trying" in the sence of remember to do as many as I remember...)

Entered four dogs for NKK International show in Hordaland (West Coast of Norway).

Pita (Taildown's Jitterbug) will come along for the ride, and I couldn't decide which of the boys to enter - so I entered both.. And of course Moxy - the odd one.
